Hendren Get-Together

Last weekend the family met in PA for a birthday gathering.  Technically, it was my grandpa's birthday, but he doesn't like the attention (supposedly) and so we made it a general Hendren birthday party.  It was nice to see everyone since it isn't often that we can all get together at the same time.  

Honestly, this is what our visits are usually like...

naps are a norm.

But THIS time, there were little people to keep us awake!!!  

My cousin Dave's girls were both there...

Ellie had a great time coloring with Grammy and Drew.  She was so good!!!

And Cassie loves to EAT!  Especially fruity chews...

Apparently, green chews are not the favorite.

 I like to make funny faces and suck on the ones I'm not so sure about 

before I spit them onto the floor...  (hilarious)

 No more chews???

We went out to dinner at the Kauffman House and the candles my aunt got for the cake were the kind that relight and NEVER go out... and then you have a bunch of them clumped in the middle of the cake its like a wall of unstoppable fire... and when you try to blow them out it shoots sparks and hot air towards the person across from you... which, in my case, was my grandpa :)

We also got to spend time with everyone in Maumee while we were there...  We went to Carrabbas with Drew's parents and my mom Saturday night and Monday we all got together, including Drew's grandparents, and enjoyed my mom's new couches and a good meal at her house.  Looking forward to more gatherings as the holidays approach!
