Silly Kangaroos

Today we went to the Zoo and used our "Experience Columbus Days" deal to get in for 1/2 off... woot!  The last time we went it was like 50 degrees below zero and we were trying not to freeze while looking at the Christmas lights.  Today, it was different... first of all, we were actually warm and, secondly, there were animals!  Photographer Drew took some great pictures:

 

When we were in one of the bird exhibits, we noticed something scurrying around and managed to snap a few pictures.  We thought it was a mouse at the time, but now we are pretty sure it was a little mole eating the birds' food.

But the best part of the Zoo trip had to be the kangaroos!  If you have been to the Columbus Zoo, you know that there are no fences between you and the kangaroos - you are right in the exhibit with them, which is cool on its own.  But what was even better than that was seeing them sun themselves while lying on their backs with the feet stuck up in the air:
